Mariya Sklyar

Mariya Sklyar (nee Tarassishina) worked for Aquamarine Capital Management, LLC from October 2006 to September 2009. She joined Aquamarine as an Associate and was then promoted to the Manager of Operations. She was responsible for the operations of the fund and investor relations.

Previous to Aquamarine, Mariya was with MotherRock LP, an energy hedge fund, focused primarily on natural gas, crude oil and other energy commodity futures, options and cleared swaps. While she was not involved in trading, she gained valuable exposure to the nature of commodities investment.

Mariya is currently pursuing an MBA at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Education
Mariya graduated with a B.B.A., Summa Cum Laude, from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in 2004.

She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Golden Key International Honour Society.

Other
Mrs. Sklyar is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. Her hobbies include painting, opera and martial arts.
