David Kessler

David Kessler worked for Aquamarine Capital Management, LLC from February to October 2009. He was responsible for company research and valuation.

David is currently a mid/small cap equities and special situations analyst with Robotti & Co. and Simcoe Partners. Prior to Aquamarine, David spent six years as a Portfolio Management Associate with Rochdale Investment Management in Manhattan, and two years as a Financial Adviser with Morgan Stanley in Baltimore.

Education
David received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2008 with a concentration in finance and accounting, and was a member of the highly competitive Applied Value Investing program. He spent the summer between his first and second years at Columbia with Ruane, Cunniff & Goldfarb as an analyst intern for the Sequoia Fund. David also holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business.
